Enter to race in the 3 mile ocean paddle race. Contestants can compete on a traditional Paddle Board or Stand Up Paddle Board. If you’d like to compete but don’t have the proper boards you can rent them from Narrow River Kayaks on site. Saturday, July 12th will sure to be an ocean safe, fun and education filled day. The days festivities serve as a platform to raise awareness to ocean and sun safety. FREE Stand up and Paddle lessons for future competitors!
The scene on the sand at the sponsor tents will be fun and engaging. South County Orthopedics will be on hand for free Physical Therapy analysis, The World Skin Project will be providing free massage and sunscreen applications along with dermatologist screenings, Lululemon Garden City will host free bracelet making and Yoga demonstrations, Food for thought will be giving out incredible health conscious food and drink samples. There will be a tent for kids with free face painting and sand art activities. Not to be missed are the educational tents for beach goers to learn all about sun safety with Raw Elements USA and ocean safety with Narragansett Surf Rescue Lifeguards. There will also be patron raffles to win some awesome prizes.
The paddle route extends starting from Narragansett Town beach, to the Coast Guard House and throughout the length of the sea wall. There will be many vantage points for the public to be able to watch the exciting action. A great event for the entire family!
